“French Blues musician Fabrice Collette’s video clip is one I hope many will view, as not only is the music wonderful but this musician is using something not completely new as we all remember ah-ha take on me … but using Machinima is in its infancy as it requires the use of virtual worlds (http://secondlife.com/showcase/machinima.php)

Using Virtual worlds to promote music is something that has been around for a while, many bands have been in video games to majors having their own and musicians selling scores for certain games. But this, well this is something fantastic. These new virtual worlds are user created, and as the music industry runs to find ways to plug the holes in its ship, we as independents have yet another opportunity to get our art heard and seen.

I have been active in this virtual world Secondlife for over a year now, and I can say just in the last 5 months there has been an explosion of indie musicians coming on board to play live, to promote CDs and MP3s to create videos and yes there are many made and out there. But Fabrice has a Gem, this video clip (Machinima) is wonderfully done the editing flawless and the image brings you into the music and lyrics of the song. I give this a 5 star rating out of 5 stars. I do hope you will check it out.

lets see more of this type of work being done by the independent artist out there, in this age of you tubes and virtual worlds and people spending more and more time in front of a “media center” searching for information and entertainment, this is another place we can walk in!”
